bloghead blues

if i only had a brain...the first bit of this blog seemed pretty easy, then i thought i would "try" different things...got a little muddy and had to delete stuff...i added the pix of another piece which will be in the studio tour (see link in posting below)...i had to go into my studio to find some gold leaf that i know i have...my studio is in the garage and i was using it quite well till my husband decided we needed new flooring...he went ahead and sawed all the flooring on my one great work surface, but didn't bother telling me he was going to do it...this was last fall...my art supplies and things i was working on are STILL full of sawdust...it's been one cold winter and haven't been out there and neither has he...so it sits...in the meantime my workspace has migrated into the dining room again (where it's warm), and i am waiting for a nice day with no W~I~N~D so i can clean up the real art studio...have lots to do and so many ideas in my head...but i have been collecting stuff all winter to use...i work part time for a bulk mailer and he gets so many neat shapes of stuff that generally get tossed or sent to the cardboard recycler...so i am having a great time figuring out how to arrange it all...i am going to make a piece called "You are Pre-approved 2008" as soon as i shred all the credit card offers in my shred box...i have wanted to do this for a couple years, but never really got aroung to it...now i will do it and i have everything i need...even the name of the "credit card"...Amerivisa Excovercard...ha...now don't anyone take my idea...of course no one i know would even think of such a thing...

Even though i truly aspire to be a writer, my 20yr old daughter whom i taught how to write, tie her shoes, and read, has created her own blog that if you are interested you can go read some of her stuff...now most of you will think, "hmmm, 20, can't be all that great"...but she is sooo good and i only found one misspelled word...and she doesn't do this irritating........dot stuff that i do...

Recycling the Styrofoam

Welcome to Silver Saddle Arts

I am proud to present you with great and wonderful pieces of art that originate with the bits and pieces of stuff most people throw away.
